The Geological Profession

The Geological Profession is recognised in all European countries. In the majority of European countries, Geologists are awarded a warrant to practice the profession:  EU (regulated profession) 

The majority of EU and USA States have a register of Geologists that identify and recognise Professional Geologists. Malta remains one of the few countries that does not have such a register. This situation places the Maltese public  in danger relative to other European citizens.

PROFESSIONAL TITLE

There is no State recognition of the profession of the geologists in Malta, a situation that is to the detriment of public health and safety. 

The Malta Chamber of Geologists has a Code of Professional Conduct for its members and allows members of the public to submit their complaints to a Grievance Committee established by the Council of the MCG.
